How to Make An Amazing Steampunk Shaker Card

hello crafty friends

I have a new card tutorial for you. I used the Industrial Collection by Studio Light which is available at Cherish the Memory.

Cover a square card with the  Industrial Scrapin  Sheet 02 and trim to fit. Apply a stencil mask over the base and paint with copper acrylic paint.

I used a baby wipe stained with blue inks to add the textured layer to the card/ The mixed media topper was created by cutting out a 4 inch rectangle die and using a cog embossing folder over the top. I then pained it all black and dry brushed copper metallic paint over the top.
I finished off by applying black modeling paste to a stencil mask and then dry brushing more copper paint over the top.

I popped out the letters and a few die cut shapes from the Ship Builders Emphenalia sheet. I slotted them behind the shaker box and used the letters to make a sentiment.

To make the shaker card you first need to cut out three large cogs from craft foam. I used a large cog die for this bit..

Take a circle nesting die which is roughly the same size of the cog die and cut out one from patterned paper and one from acetate.

Glue the first foam cog to the base with strong glue.

Glue the other two pieces together before gluing over the first piece.

Once the base is dry, Fill  it with seed beads.

Glue the acetate over the top.

Finish the shaker box off by gluing a cog cut from patterned paper over the top/
